Our Speaker: Luke Kuechly
Luke Kuechly is one of the best linebackers of his era of football. Kuechly spent all eight years of his career with the Carolina Panthers. He was a seven-time Pro Bowler and a five-time first-team All-Pro.
Kuechly had immediate success during his 2012 rookie season. In that debut campaign, he led the NFL in tackles and was named NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year.
The following year, Kuechly became the youngest player to ever win the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year Award. On December 22nd, 2013, his 26 tackles against the New England Patriots set a new NFL single-game record and helped the Panthers clinch a playoff spot.
Kuechly was originally selected ninth overall out of Boston College in the 2012 NFL Draft. He played three seasons for the Eagles and was a first-team All-American each time.
In 2011, he won both the Butkus and Lombardi Awards. Kuechly led the nation in tackles twice and finished second in his freshman season. He went to famed St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati, Ohio and won a state title his junior season.
