Saint Joseph’s Table of Pies
Bishop Peter Jugis declared 2020 the year of St. Joseph in the Diocese of Charlotte. To honor this holy and humble saint, we named Room At The Inn’s new fundraiser after him. As the patron of the Catholic Church as well as the unborn and Room At The Inn, St. Joseph protects the moms and babies in our program and all who support our mission. By participating in this fundraiser, you’re walking alongside the virtuous earthly father of Jesus, who protected the Virgin Mary and Our Savior, Jesus, in her womb as they searched for room at the inn. Serving expectant mothers in our time through this fundraiser is a wonderful way to prepare your heart and mind in the weeks leading up to your own Advent journey. It’s also an opportunity to participate in Walking with Moms in Need, a year of service, which the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops kicked off on the Feast of the Annunciation, March 25, 2020. This initiative is a call to serve pregnant and parenting moms through our parishes, places Pope Francis said should be “islands of mercy in the midst of a sea of indifference.” Please take this opportunity to help mothers and children in North Carolina as you participate in our nationwide year of service to moms in need. It’s a timely and unique opportunity to embody the virtues of our patron St. Joseph by protecting the most vulnerable among us.
