The Annual Triad Benefit Banquet

Christopher BellThe NC Triad Banquet will be held at the Embassy Suites of Greensboro, on October 17, 2013. Our speaker for the banquet will be Christopher R Bell who received the inspiration to create Good Counsel while working and living at Covenant House in Times Square, a ministry for homeless youth. Joining the Covenant House Community in 1979, where members prayed three hours a day and worked full-time for $12 a week. Christopher Bell encountered the dire need for homeless pregnant women. His spiritual advisor, Father Groeschel, challenged Christopher Bell to act on his conviction that something needed to be done. Together they founded Good Counsel in 1985.

Christopher Bell is the husband of the former Joan Andrews and a father of seven children, six of whom are adopted. He's spoken extensively about this ministry to the media, to business groups, at churches and abroad. Christopher Bell studied Scripture in Rome and has a post-master's degree in family counseling, from Iona College, an MA in Religious Education and Counseling from St. Joseph's Seminary, and a B.S. from the University of Bridgeport in Journalism-Communications and International Relations.

Sentenced for Life Fundraiser

Dog locked up behind bars

This year’s Sentenced For Life Fundraiser is almost at an end. If you haven’t yet had the chance to bail out one of our fine jailbirds, please visit the webpage and help one of them escape from their jail cell!  We had fourteen participants this year and are always looking for more.  If you would like to participate next year, just let us know by February and we will sign you up. It is really very easy, you get a stylish stripey outfit, wanted posters and a webpage and you ask your friends to bail you out. It is a great way to spread the word about what we do and raise money at the same time, without spending money to do it.  All the money raised goes directly towards program expenses.

Pictured is Mocha, who still needs your help, click on his picture to help him get out of jail and go home to Charlotte!

For more information go to the website or contact Marianne at: mdonadio@roominn.org or call her at (336) 391-6299 if you want to join in the fun!!!!

We bring hope to families through your support.
