Admissions Eligibility
Eligibility Criteria
Potential clients must:
- Be a resident of North Carolina to apply for admittance in the North Carolina Maternity Home; or Be a resident of South Carolina to apply for admittance in the South Carolina Maternity Home
- Be at least 14 weeks pregnant for the North Carolina Maternity Home.
- Be without a severe psychiatric history
- Be willing to follow program rules and guidelines including medical and psychological recommendations
- Have parental/guardian permission, if a minor
- Must be enrolled in the Maternal, Infant and Child Healthcare Program
Other eligibility criteria includes:
- Preference in admissions is made to residents of Greensboro
- Pregnant women with previous children may be admitted provided that only two previous children under the age of six may be admitted at a time
