The Annual Benefit Banquet

The Annual Campaign to raise the funding necessary to operate the maternity homes, subsidized housing, the emergency shelter, child development programs and other support programs for homeless pregnant women and single mother with children throughout the Carolinas will kick off with our Annual Benefit Banquets this November.

In Addition to the testimonial from graduates of our various programs, we are proud to announce that Ms. Norma McCorvey will be the keynote speaker at both the North Carolina and South Carolina Banquets. Ms. McCorvey will talk about how her life was changed by the Mercy and Love of Jesus that was shown to her over the years by Christians witnessing to the sanctity of life.

Ms. McCorvey was the Jane “Roe” of Roe vs. Wade , the decision of the US Supreme Court that legalized abortion throughout all fifty states. Ms. McCorvey’s non-political message emphasizes how love builds a culture that respects life and how we can make a difference by reaching out to homeless, pregnant women in need.

Please mark your calendars now!

In the Triad, join us on Thursday, November 6th, 2008 at 6:30 PM at the Embassy Suites (Intersections of Highway 68 and I - 40)

Where there is a Need; Knights make a Difference

Grand Knight, Vinnie Roccapriore (left), and Knight, Woody Regan (far right), of the Knights of Columbus Council #11101 from St. Pius X Church are presenting a check for $5,000 to Room At The Inn of the Triad’s Development Director, Elizabeth Hedgecock (center left) and Board Member, Marlene DuBose (center right). Where there is a Need; Knights make a Difference.

Every Year, The Knights of Columbus, Council #11101, raise funds for special agencies that make a difference in the lives of many vulnerable people. This year, Woody Regan received several shipments of Health-Tex and Adidas clothing donated to raise funds for Room At The Inn of the Triad. Hundreds of volunteer hours went into sorting, sizing and marking the clothing for the Consignment Sale held annually at St. Pius X Church. The volunteers who worked on the consignment sale came from both St. Pius X Church in Greensboro, NC and from Holy Cross Church in Kernersville, NC.

Room At The Inn of the Triad will use the funding to support its programs and services to abandoned, homeless, pregnant mothers both before and after the birth of their children. “We are grateful to all who helped to make such a generous gift possible. You bring hope to those in great fear; you will help save and change lives” said Elizabeth Hedgecock.
