Admissions Process

To apply for admission to the Mary C. Nussbaum Maternity Home, please call to discuss our program with a Client Services Staff member.  Call 336-275-9566.

After discussing our program and the admission process, you can complete the Admissions Application and mail the form to our office at:

Eligibility Criteria

Potential clients must:

• Be a resident of North Carolina to apply for admittance in the North Carolina Maternity Home; or Be a resident of South Carolina to apply for admittance in the South Carolina Maternity Home

• Be pregnant

• Be without a severe psychiatric history

• Be willing to follow program rules and guidelines including medical and psychological recommendations

• Have parental/guardian permission, if a minor

• Must be enrolled in the Maternal, Infant and Child Healthcare Program

Other eligibility criteria includes:

• Preference in admissions is made to residents of Greensboro

• Pregnant women with previous children may be admitted provided that only two previous children under the age of six may be admitted at a time
